Interesting websites for Instructional Designers

April Miller’s Website
The April Miller’s Instructional Designer in Student Affairs website provides information about the life of an Instructional Design professional in real life and presents real life scenarios which she encounters while executing her daily duties. This website is interesting because it allows you to have an idea as to what may happen when you are in the field and allows you to obtain sample scenarios a professional in the field experiences. This website also allows other instructional design professionals to share their experiences about subjects of interest and other information. The blog publisher provides professionals in the field to opinions about topics of interest that may provide insight in the field of ID.

Cathy Moore Website
On her website, Cathy Moore provides a wealth of knowledge and information about  elearning. There are several areas within the site which provide a variety of resources. This website presents a blog which contains subjects ranging from How to Create a Mini Scenario to Learning Styles: Worth our time? and more. These blog postings present ideas and opinions as to the efficiency of processes and ideas. The website also provides educational opportunities which allow you to enhance your knowledge and skills in the elearning environment as well as a multitude of other resources. This website provides you ideas that will assist you in developing learning materials and ideas for modifying inefficient environments.

Instructional Design Website
The Instructional Design website provides instructional design professionals with thorough educational material and information to assist in understanding the ID principles and how they relate to teaching and learning. It also teaches best practices which will aid the ID professionals to be more effective. This website provides an Instructional Assessment, a glossary, Instructional Design Models, User Interface Design, Instructional Design Conferences information, Learning Objects and other related web sites.

The Beginning

As part of my first week's assignment for my Learning Theories and Instruction course as part of my curriculum for the Instrutional Design and Technology program, I am to create a blog, add feeds and provide material which would be beneficial for ID professionals and as resource for my studies...so here I am posting on the blog for the first time. This pathway so far has been interesting and I look forward to the rest of the curriculum.
